Historical Synopsis

2014, May 7 - Initial Work

On May 7th, 2014, 25 individuals representing 18 local community, social service and governmental organizations gathered with a vision to create a new community council committed to fostering a connected, welcoming, integrated, and supportive community in Waterloo Region that is inclusive of members of the Rainbow Community. Throughout 2014 and 2015, a subsection of this group met regularly to develop a Terms of Reference for this important community initiative.

2015, May 7 - Formal Founding
